BLACKBUTT RESERVE

A severe storm several days ago destroyed the amenities, animal houses and the bird cages at Blackbutt Reserve. This park of natural timber, walking tracks and animal enclosures and picnic areas is very a popular retreat. Prior to this the council considered closing down the animal enclosures due to budget cuts. What does the future hold?

doubtless the council will be considering the storm to be a blessing in disguise in this respect -- unless of course there is some insurance to be collected!

I also like the picture very much. After all, it is my daughter enjoying our day out at Blackbutt prior to the storms. Hi Mum! X

council needs to repair and keep our award winning blackbutt reserve open for the community and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
the photo is great! council need to see it because kids and adults alike have a great time!

Really a cute shot...The authorities I think should go by popular public opinion about closing the enclosures.

Heard that the caged birds escaped, some animals were shifted, fallen trees need clearing up etc and this will be done, I'm sure, long term remains to be seen. Would lobby, but am not too keen on animals caged up.
Pink on pink - its all the fashion and suits this little girl well.
