Road trip

Motorhome towing a fully equipped 4x4.

The Indonesian president has cancelled a visit to our shores due to protests and riots at home. Locals are taking exception to Jakarta's Governor and maybe other aspects as well.
Our Dept will notify travellers of oncoming problems and warnings were issued so as to avoid these protests predicted in various cities of Indonesia.
If Mr President did visit our outback he would have seen the sights and seen live export cattle on the road over which he supports a number of demands. Any of our value added aspects are hard to find.  Ban live export!

On Safari

Construction site at Kings Canyon National Park N T.

Currently, the five adjoining states in the red heart region, all have a different time setting.
Qld has eastern standard and no daylight savings,
NSW has eastern standard and does have daylight savings,
SA is on central time as well as daylight savings,
NT is on central time without daylight savings.
WA has western standard time and no daylight savings.
On the road, intuitions rather than a timepiece were followed, well, there were no deadlines anyway. Time travellers.

Road Trip

If the visitor is not into the semi-arid landscape, bad luck, there is no instant gratification.
Kings Canyon is an isolated national park in the wilderness, so to speak, near one lone center six k's away.  That tourist park has its own power, water, fuel and supplies and offers a  range of accommodation of a good standard. The swimming pool was welcome.

Road trip

Kings Canyon NT.  Tourists are herded at the beginning of a hike. One route has a climb to the top of the escarpment and proceeds along and down to water holes and no less than the garden of Eden.  The second route is along the valley floor.
