Das Auto.
It could be said that VW has been rather creative in the adjustments they made to the engines if it is possible to look beyond the level of dangerous pollutants and fraud.
Makes for a good chance to buy when the prices fall. After all, complaints are heard about the loss of resale value, not about the release of pollution. Lawyers are ready to sue.

The situation leads to strange thoughts. Who can we trust? The world order has changed. This fraud is not the work of a banana republic.
It is beside the point but the cars are probably quite low emitters as it is and the cars still go as well as ever. And, it is not clear if this country has established car pollutant regulations that relate to this situation.

Youthful dance. Creative original work was light on in this school concert despite the relative advantage the school has.
The new Prime Minister has been indulgent and gathered a youthful group of ministers.  Makes little difference, the young or the old can be very conservative when the mission seems to be one of flexiblity.
Also, age discrimination exists in the workforce and the issue gets oxygen from time to time.
We need good example. What are the ages of the new liberal party cabinet?  Anyone over 40? Maybe.
Something, nothing - on peeping at the positions vacant in Jakarta Post those for secretary stated the desired age  and, more or less, remarks about needing a pretty face and the salary about $AU1000 a month.

Funeral in Christchurch Cathedral Newcastle.
Margaret Henry has died. She was a very active worker and advocate for the city and its people.

What would she have thought about the fact that the new  Minister of Defence is a female?

Knee deep in clover...good news...there has been a change of prime minister.
Now we have...thoroughly liberal government committed to freedom, the individual and the market.
That reality sounds very old hat.
However ...volatility in change is our friend...if we are agile and smart enough to take advantage of it.
 Sounds much more hopeful.
You win some you lose some.
The park had extensive work done on drainage, it is supposed, and perhaps the road will keep dry from now on.
However, part of the park land near the club has gone to a new car park.  Seen watering the turf when the traffic nearby is busiest.

Jolly cycling weather if you look closely. Follow the path along suburban byways. School sport Id say.

What have I got to lose?
Our community is taking an interlude away from cruising the Med or seeing the Joys of the Bosphorus in order to join cute candlelight meetings in support of refugees.
Drastic situations have grown over several years. Thousands and thousands of people displaced. Hugh tent cities in need of  support. A non event.
Then social media decides to get on the bandwagon. It is better than nothing.

Mass migration is challenging humankind.
No official response from Australia. Except joining the superpowers to fight the good fight against the dark forces. Our small defence forces doing whatever. No sense in it.
Our dreadful response to refugees is reported in New York Times. We accept censorship and secrecy.  It is all true. We have adopted shameful and extreme refugee policies.

Care of Creation, Sep 1st, a day set aside by Pope Francis.
Prayer AND action is surely most appropriate.
Outstanding and sunny day with old fashioned, somewhat rare flowers - freezias, crocus, anaemone, and blossoms but too much glare. Adjust settings - come off it.
As if I can spell.  It is nice to put ae when it is not recognized by spell check.
