BABY BOOM

In Blackbutt Reserve in Newcastle - the animal enclosure !
This country is having a baby boom. Birth rates have now risen above the 1971 level. Rightly or wrongly. The population is soon 21 million.
Below, one of the happy families is seen going to Nobbys Beach, last month.
Vocab: Blackbutt Reserve - Blackbutt is a tree.

Baby boom? Amazing. I wonder what triggers this at specific times?

To answer your question about the ears of squirrels. No, the different sizes and shapes doesn't change the species or is not a change in the species. I just noticed, years ago that the squirrels change their physical appearance every year or two.

Squirrels seldom live longer than two years as it is a hard life. And squirrels are always looking for food. So each year we have a new character that comes here and that one must bring his or her friends as they begin to show up in numbers.

They have had extremely short ears then that may be followed by very long ears and then laid-back ears almost like a horse or dog lays their ears back when they are mad. This year I remarked to my wife that we have grey squirrels now coming with red tails and that is unusual and they have long ears.

Somebody asked about black squirrels and we don't have any that color.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
