Ah yes, Polartec season in Newcastle. I always enjoy telling my Pittsburgh friends how the temperature never got down to freezing during the "winter" that I spent in Newcastle. Paradise! Be glad that your closets aren't stuffed with coats, scarves, hats, gloves, sweaters, thermal underwear (long johns, we call them)and boots. Not to mention snow shovels, ice scrapers (for the car windows) and bags of rock salt (for melting ice) in the garage.

Given all that I'd love to spend one winter in snow and ice - 101 things to do before you die!
Hang in there! Don't we have it easy here!
