Apart from  everything else, MAS air staff must be in shock over their losses this year. The attendants are lovely.

Requiem.  Today, Australia ended the policies to combat climate change.

Don't forget the pioneers  namely  Kevin Rudd and  later Julia Gillard the Greens and others in parliament. Even Howard had ideas on this issue.
Nothing positive is in the air.
Without the carbon tax we will all be wealthy.  No need for cut backs to this and that to balance the budget we will have money coming out of our ears.

A few dogs came along for Sunday morning coffee.

Our elected representatives exaggerate, for special effect, about climate change and say everyone asks us to get rid of the carbon tax and they list obscure problems that it causes. Everyone they meet complains - so they say. Instead, the MPs could offer some leadership.
  While taking criticisms on board, it is an opportunity to raise the issues with the electors they meet and suggest the need for action on climate change, for them to think beyond their own expenses -  put down to the tax - and be reminded of the price that we all need to pay for carbon emissons that cause the damage.

Coffee in the morning sun is the only place to be when the breeze becomes truly chilly. 

The political dialogue could be improved a whole lot.  Scrapping the carbon tax will save us x billions a day in energy costs mantra.      Instead, say something useful and pertinent to climate change policies.  Suggest we will pay dearly for our polluting energy consumption.  It is up to us.  There is no quick fix.  But, with our politicians as conservative anti-intellectual hayseeds how can you expect any good climate change policies?

Not in snow country but where the nights are so cold and frosty and the days are stunning and warm till 4pm at least.

 Many country towns out on the plains have a tower. A water tanks needs some height to work properly doh.
 Imagine a dry and dusty race track far from winter weather.  A wonderful stark landscape in imagery from Fargo (SBSTV) might make winter worthwhile - for a day or two at least.

This could be a  perfect day for airing and washing doonas and blankets. Brisk and chilly but sunny. Could have prepared for winter before this - better later than never!

Jesmond Neighbourhood centre fun day for many cultures, seen both inside and outside by reflection - dichotomy - very pervasive. Cultures and Gender and the break down of stereotypes is a work in progress but undermined in various ways.
Try to select an old greeting card and see that from even age one upwards the cards are categorized into male and female with all the usual topics that are supposedly associated with gender.
  Dichotomy-  look at toys, offerings for girls are typically small, sickly pink and coy and pretty useless- the same with girls clothing, kids clothing specifically targets gender.
 Another point is that of increasing our consumerism by needing two of everything.

Give us a break - radio interviews in which a person relates everything about themselves, me... me... me. They are familiar with every term for every problem there is.
They seem totally competent and successful yet rave on about their insecurities. Have the scales tipped too far? 
If we were ignorant about a personality problem before, well, that won't last long and will probably be followed up with self diagnosis and successfully adopted.
 Normal is on a broad spectrum. Probably.

 A local doctor is to go to Fiji to work on a surge in Dengue Fever because a new strain of Dengue has been a  serious problem there.
The incidence of Dengue is growing mostly in the warmer countries. Is spread by female mosquitoes and is flu like and can be fatal.
This month in Townsville, mosquitoes infected with a bacteria that prevents the mosquito from transmitting the disease have been unleashed in a trial according to ABC news. 

Liturgy on the beach if you look closely. Another romantic wedding? A bit of a stretch.
Chilly and windswept sunny days but they are brief as we approach our longest night.

This corner of Hunter street looks terrible.  The tennants will have to do better than this right at the entrance to the mall.  And the hugh marbles have been removed from the mall.
