Government proposals about our health services are one thing. As well, the Department of Defence gets over-budget and has problems aired from time to time.
Do you know something? Defence could be changed to a state run corporation and managed by small groups. The groups would include fair, decent minded citizens including a woman, a few do-gooders, a victim advocate, a pacifist, a corporate sponsor, several serial board members and an academic while those with any close working links with defence services would be avoided.
These groups would be supported by enormous state and federal bureauracy and funding pruned and fragmented to be in line with health services. lol. Btw, this rant was penned before I saw the lengthy expose on defence in todays Sydney Morning Herald
