FROM MY BEDROOM WINDOW

This could have been worse. There is minor damage to the residence following a gale. Perhaps some trees have shallow root systems while others are stronger. A real man with a chain saw and lots of safety gear.

That is a large tree and it looks like it might be a spruce or pine and the spruce does have shallow roots that cause them to blow over in storms. Nice photographs.

Baby raccoons. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

What? Did you get a storm?

The water was so warm I wanted to stay in it for ever:)

What a storm!! That must have been a bit harrowing to be inside when the tree comes crashing down!

As for the Tim Hortons, no Tim Hortons coffee shop in this park but there are at least 11 Tim Hortons to go to in a town of 54,000.

Reminds me of the storms we had in January -- only minor damage for us but it destroyed the local scout hut.

Yep, I hate that happened!

The title From My bedroom Window was echoing back to CDP theme and could be misleading, this was not my bedroom window.
The tree is a gum tree or eucalypt.
