When stormy weather was subsiding last week.  Billboards and signs took a beating.
A hugh effort still took over a week to restore all power supplies so widespread was the damage.
I guess we are fortunate that this incident occurred before privatisation went ahead or was it a bigger effort to make sure all was ready for that day? Now there is talk of controls and cheaper electricity.  Obviously all this electricity business is not clear to me.

Wonder what they do in this workshop?  In Wallsend. Says it all.

I'm glad that I don't experience the big struggle that the Americans have in order to get good and reasonable leglisation passed, or so it seems to me. Our system is a bit different to all that.
I certainly expect government to take the lead.
For a change, President Obama expresses ideals, just like a leader should and, would you believe, he extols people of the union to do good. He is good with media.  Even when it is likely that any decent, indispensible leglislation will wither and die up against extreme lobbists, the politicians rely on their thick skins and remain positive during the farce.
Are we going the same way?

Luckily, an appointment at the hospital didn't have to be taken too seriously.  As a cosmic mariner - destination unknown - I arrived on the shuttle (bus) then first it was a dose of XRays in a darkend room where the technicians hid behind a force field, then the final page, from the clinic, buzzed on a device, which lit up just when the last chance for nourishment was at hand indicated by a large digital readout showing my fateful number to get the hot liquid from the hissing expresso machine manned by dazed barister robots.

At least I wouldn't starve on this journey.  The buzzing and flashing lights continued as I hurried past the flying saucers overhead, evaded the satellite admission and made it past the chopper as it took off into space.  Just in time, back to rejoin the endless line of citizens seeking a magic cure.

 Words we take for granted.

Out in the provinces, was seen Tamworth Co-operative Ltd as a fading sign from last century, where lots of people shopped for their food, produce and goodness knows what, and they held shares in the business.
When the retail 'giants' open up in the suburbs of country towns then the city centre changes. Is that what they really wanted to happen?
South of Tamworth and in the ranges evidence of recent rain was easy to see.  The grass was very green.

My gross weight: 82.25kg (-1.75kg)

Sand surf swelter and salty sea smells. Holiday makers take note at hot bread shop near the beachside in Crescent. Sorry no eftpos.  If dripping wet please dry off before entering shops.

There is this personality and an ad campaign for the Greater Building Society, or bank, seen here on their doors and in the media.
Full marks for trying. Investments. Sure, Jerry is cagey with money and most things, yet, on the negative side, he is near the centre of economic melt down and the footage was no way like a local shopping centre as I think was intended.
A prize to see him in 'Vegas is offered. Has this swayed the investor/borrower?
It is good to remember him in the series with the devious plots that were simply constructed out of nothing. 'Out of nothing' - sounds like the tactics of the investment bankers.

WAR on the HILL? FAR on the HILL?
BAR on the HILL at the university.
Vertically, spatially and subliminally unrelated to The Hill (inner city)?

Passing the Avon River near Stratford, south of Gloucester and to the north of Newcastle on a rainy day.
On another point, while it is nothing new, certain problems on a computer, can be resolved with Systems Restore. At least, XP can be safely returned, by magic, to a date before a disaster occured.

Signs and Wonders. Here is believed to be a new sign with new wording. Kiss and Ride Area!
All measures are tried so as to prevent road accidents from occuring outside our schools.

The school year ends next week. At least this society keeps some individuality in that way.
I vote for a turn around with the local Christmas celebrated in June, Easter in September and all the rest!

Signs. Any blank wall tempts fate and here in tempera is an urban fresco. It's not Kevin 07.

For more romantic communication try Dvorak's Cello Concerto in B minor. I read he was Czech and themes and spirited rhythms from Slavonic folk unfold in this rapturous concerto. Not forgetting his Slavonic dances and New World Symphony.
