REFUGE FROM THE WORLD

Buddhist Monks were invited to our City Hall this time, where they held meditations, lectures and created an intricate sand mandala on the floor. Ethnic handcrafts could be purchased in order to support the struggles of their people .

I like this photography: the glance of this man and the green color

I would have loved to see more of the mandala, it looks beautiful.
Will you be going to hear the dalai lama when he comes to Sydney next month?

Dalai Lama: that question got the PM and Rudd into strife; for myself, well, maybe, I doubt I'll see him. My photo of the mandala emerged with very stange colours, however I did post a better one in April from Canberra.

Excellent picture under what looks like difficult lighting conditions. I've watched Buddhist monks build a mandala once or twice. You captured the concentration or the monk's face over the beautiful design but I wish the face were a bit brighter.
