Royal Newcastle Hospital, views, fresh sea-air, lull of the surf, (won't mention the marvellous gales), evacuated for the 'quake, innovative past. A new hospital has been built elsewhere and, with community consultation (wow), the site will be redeveloped for private enterprise.
