Road trip

Kings Canyon NT.  Tourists are herded at the beginning of a hike. One route has a climb to the top of the escarpment and proceeds along and down to water holes and no less than the garden of Eden.  The second route is along the valley floor.

Young tour group who spoke a language other than English awaiting the next move and taking shelter in a rustic lean-to suitable for picnic or barbeque close to a novel information centre
All the amenities are designed low key and largely invisible in the overall landscape.  That idea was appealing about the village of Yulara, no features were over the top.

Frosty morning in Wallerawang this morning. An hour later the sun broke thru.

The old and fragile semi-arid regions of central Australia have a wealth of vegetation.
Trees shrubs grasses and flowers are there and are terrific.
At present, some green pastures, so to speak, are a feature and expanses with floral ground cover are often seen.  All very unexpected.
All new and nothing like the landscape of our eastern coast.
